M. Night Shyamalan He doesn't look for rest. After having released in August 2024 the horror thriller Trapthe filmmaker is already preparing his next film project.
It's about A supernatural romantic thriller that has just announced Jake Gyllenhaal's signing in leading role.
The film is based on An original story cooked by Shyamalan and the renowned author Nicholas Sparks. Both Shyamalan and Sparks are preparing a separate script, based on the same original love story.

“Both projects will be based on the same concept and set of characters, but adapted to their respective means.”
This will be the first project with which Shyamalan will collaborate with a high profile writer, such as Sparks.
Sparks is the author of twenty -three novels, all bestseller of the New York Times, with more than 115 million copies sold worldwide. 11 of his novels have been adapted to the cinema: Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, The Last Song, Dear John, The Lucky One, Safe Haven, The Best of Me, The Longest Ride, The Choice.
Shyamalan and Ashwin Rajan will produce the feature film with their Binding Edge Pictures, along with Theresa Park and Marc Biestock. Sparks will be the executive producer. Binding Edge Pictures will produce the film.
If it's negotiating an agreement for Warner Bros. to distribute the movie in cinemas.
Gyllenhaal's most recent projects include the reboot of Road House from Amazon MGM Studios, and the series Presumed Innocent Apple TV+ for which he was nominated for Golden Globe. This year will star Broadway's work Othello along with Denzel Washington.
