Apple TV+ revealed the official teaser trailer for the fourth season from the popular series, Ted Lassowhich, in addition to showing the long-awaited returns of the beloved protagonists, confirms their release date for Wednesday, August 5.

Just like previous seasons, the release of the episodes will be on a weekly basis. The season finale will air on October 7.

The teaser starts with Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis), getting out of bed, back in Richmond, where he will take on his biggest challenge yet: coach a second division women's soccer team.

We also get brief glimpses at other original cast members like Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham), Keeley Jones (Juno Temple), Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein), Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift), y Mae Green (Annette Badland) from the popular Crown & Anchor pub.

After the appearance of these familiar faces, Ted leaves his apartment where he meets a local resident, who welcomes him back with an insult. The teaser ends with Ted uttering the abbreviation “ASAP PP,” which he interprets as “ASAP, please.”

New additions to the cast include Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education), as Ted's new assistant coach, Grant Feely playing Henry, Ted's son, in a recasting of the role that was played by Gus Turner in the previous seasons, Jude Mack (Back in Action), Faye Marsay (Andor), Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkeyy Abbie Hern.

Season 4 will follow Ted on his return to Richmond to coach a second division women's teamcreated under the Keeley and Rebecca's new partnershipas we saw in the finale of the third season.

Sudeikis returns as star, executive producer and co-creator.

Production on the fourth season began in July 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri, where the first episode is set. Production later moved to London.

Kansas City is the hometown of Ted Lasso – and that of Sudeikis. And in case you don't remember, we tell you that the third season ended with Ted deciding to leave Richmond and return home to be closer to his son and his ex-wife (Andrea Anders), while other members of the Richmond family embarked on new professional and personal stages.

Ted Lasso is based on a character Sudeikis played in a series of NBC Sports Premier League promos. Sudeikis developed the series with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kellyy Bill Lawrence; Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent, is another of the series' writers.

Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh joined as writers and producers for the fourth season.

Jack Burditt (Nobody Wants This, 30 Rock) is executive producer of the fourth season, along with Sudeikis, Hunt, Kelly, Lawrence, and Goldstein. Leanne Bowen, Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer are other executive producers.

Warner Bros. TV produces the series along with Universal TV and Doozer.

The series, which premiered the first season in August 2020, has won 13 Emmy Awards and 2 Golden Globes.

The fourth season of Ted Lasso premieres August 5with new episodes every Wednesday, until the season finale scheduled for October 7.
