Focus Features is reviving the period drama's marketing campaign, The Bikeridersfrom the screenwriter and director Jeff Nicholswhich has in leading roles Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Austin Butler (Elvis), y Tom Hardy (Venom).
The feature film, centered on a Midwestern motorcycle club, had a good debut at the Telluride Film Festival in 2023, and its original release date suggested it as a candidate for this awards season, however, as a result of the strike of SAG-AFTRA, its original studio Disney's 20th Century Studios, and New Regency, removed it from their release schedule, selling it to Focus Features as its new distributor.
The studio then set its theatrical release date for June 2024and is creating this new marketing campaign for the film, drawing on the attractive machismo of motorcycle riding culture, because while the first trailer revealed last September was told from the perspective of Jodie Comer's character, Kathy, the new trailer is led by Hardy's character, Johnny, a tough guy founder of the Vandals motorcycle gang.
The two and a half minute trailer establishes how the Vandals rose to prominence. In addition, it lets us see Butler's character between a rock and a hard place: with Johnny preaching brotherly love above all, and Kathy, who is increasingly cautious about the problems that the club is beginning to get into and that threaten with destroying everything.
Nichols has become one of the most interesting voices in recent years, having written and directed feature films such as Take Shelter (2011), Mud (2012), Midnight Special (2016), y Loving (2016).

Its theatrical release date was set for June 21, 2024. In our country it is titled The vandals club.
