The sequel Joker: Folie à Deux marks the debut of Lady Gaga (A Star is Born, House of Gucci) as Harley Quinn, who in this Joker-verse of Todd Phillipsto your incarnation of the popular character is known as Lee Quinzel.

Said Gaga scene was not included in the final cut and many fans of the artist have questioned Phillips why it was left out.
With the film's release in theaters, Phillips revealed his reasons to EW:
“There was dialogue, and all of a sudden I wanted it to be more of a musical and mood moment. For that moment to play, I needed dialogue behind it. I mean, the woman said something and then Gaga stopped and did this, and she just froze. stood in the way of the moment.”
Phillips recalls that Gaga improvised the kiss.
Joker: Folie à Deux is now in theaters in most markets worldwide. It remains to be released in Japan (October 11) and China (October 16).
