Oscar-winning filmmaker, Kathryn Bigelowis preparing his next project. It is a thriller, without an official title at the moment, which will be at home in Netflix.
Bigelow will direct a large and talented cast that so far has confirmed Idris Elba (Knuckles, Hijack), Rebecca Ferguson (Dune: Part Two, Silo), Jared Harris (Chernobyl, The Crown), Greta Lee (Past Lives, The Morning Show), Tracy Letts (Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty, Ford v Ferrari), Moses Ingram (Obi-Wan Kenobi, Queen’s Gambit), Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent, Trigger Warning), and the recently announced Anthony Ramos (Twisters, Dumb Money).
According to information from Deadline, both the official title and the plot remain under wraps for the moment, however, it is known that the film “It will be set in the White House as a national crisis unfolds.”

Bigelow won the Oscar for best director for The Hurt Locker (2008), becoming only the second woman to win in that category. Other films directed by the filmmaker include the classic Point Break (1991), Strange Days (1995), K-19: The Widowmaker (2002), Detroit (2017), and the acclaimed Zero Dark Thirty (2012), for which she received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, as its producer.
This will be Bigelow's first project since Detroit (2017).
