These lemon pepper wings are irresistibly juicy on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside, coated in a buttery lemon glaze with a punch of cracked black pepper—simple, addictive, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken wings (split into flats and drumettes)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)

  • 1–2 teaspoons cracked black pepper (to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for balance)

  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

  • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels (this helps them get crispy).
  • In a bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  • Arrange the wings in a single layer on the tray.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
  • While the wings cook, mix melted butter, lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, and honey (if using) in a bowl.
  • Once wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl and toss immediately with the lemon pepper sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra lemon zest if desired. Serve hot.
