In recent days, Paramount+ announced that it had renewed the drama and espionage series Lionesspreviously titled Special Ops: Lionessto a second season.

And one of the cast members from the first season has been promoted to a regular role. Is about Thad Luckinbillwho plays CIA officer Kyle, Deadline announced.

Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Sicario) is the creator of the show starring Zoe Saldana y Laysla De Oliveirawhose plot is inspired by a real-life American military program, which follows the life of Joe (Saldaña) as he tries to balance his personal and professional life as the CIA's spearhead in the war on terrorism.

The first season focused on a young marine, Cruz Manuelos (De Oliveira), hired by the CIA with the job of befriending the daughter of a terrorist leader in order to defeat the organization from within.

The rest of the cast is made up of Nicole Kidman, Michael Kelly and Morgan Freeman, Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, Jill Wagner, James Jordan, Stephanie Nur, and Hannah Love Lanier.

The first season of Lioness set a record as the streamer's most-watched series premiere globally on the day of its release, with nearly 6 million total viewers in its first week on Paramount+ globally and in a linear preview on Paramount Network.
