After a while of not getting any news about the reboot of “The Crow”the media Deadline reports that Lionsgate has obtained the distribution rights in the United States for the reboot by the director Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Hunstman, Ghost in the Shell).
The media reveals:
“Lionsgate just closed an eight-figure deal for the domestic rights to the reboot of The Crow.”
Furthermore, it is made known that the studio hopes the film will be released in 2024.
The reboot stars Bill Skarsgård (saga IT, Barbarian) as Eric Draven, the singer and songwriter, FKA Twigs (Honeyboy), Danny Huston (Succession), Laura Birn (Foundation), Sami Bouajila (A Son), y Jordan Bolger (The Woman King).
The script was written by Zach Baylin (King Richard) y Will Schneider.
Among the producers we find Edward R. Pressman (The Crow original, American Psycho), Victor Hadida (Resident Evil, Silent Hill), Molly Hassell (Braven), John Jencks (Guns Akimbo, Honest Thief).
The Raven, is a 1989 comic series created by James O’Barr, which follows the story of Eric Draven, who, the night before his wedding, is murdered along with his fiancée by members of a violent gang. On the anniversary of his death, Eric is resurrected and sets out to find his killers and avenge the murder of his fiancée, with the help of a mystical bird.

Sanders previously described the project as: “Beautiful, dark, poetic, and at times, disturbing. It is a story of love, loss, pain and revenge.”
THE PROBLEMATIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE REBOOT OF THE CROW
In March 2018, Sony Pictures announced that it was approaching the project as its distributor in the international market, giving it a release date of October 11, 2019.
