Slowdive «alife» – Maybe you’ve already wondered why I haven’t written anything about the new Slowdive album, which is being celebrated in many places. I’ve been a big fan of the British shoegaze band since the early 90s, but I found the first singles only moderately exciting on their own. But now in the overall context of the album I come to a positive conclusion, because the record is a well-rounded thing and creates a pleasant atmosphere.
Yuzame Radio «Distraction girl» – something Japanese shouldn’t be missing either. A very young, still unknown band that only started last October and whose new single combines whirring guitars with Japanese chord progressions and sounds very promising.
