Warner Bros. announced a change of release dates for some of its upcoming high-profile projects.

In the case of Mickey 17 of Bong Joon Ho y Sinners of Ryan Cooglerthey swapped their release dates.

Now, Mickey 17 will be released in theaters on March 7, 2025while Sinners will be released on April 18, 2025. The modification of launches will allow Mickey 17 of Bong will be shown for a longer time in IMAX theaters.

ON MICKEY 17

The sci-fi thriller marks Bong's return to theaters after the overwhelming and historic success of Parasite (2019),

The project starring Robert Pattinson (The Batman, Tenet) focuses its plot on Mickey, an Expendable: a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize the frozen world of Niflheim. Whenever a mission is too dangerous, even suicidal, the crew turns to Mickey. After an iteration dies, a new body regenerates with most of its memories intact.

The rest of the main cast is made up of Steve Yeun (Nope, Beef), Toni Collette (Hereditary), Mark Ruffalo (Poor Things) y Naomi Ackie (Blink Twice).

The film is based on the novel Mickey 7 de Edward Ashton. Bong is the director, producer and screenwriter.

Dede Gardner (Moonlight, 12 Years a Slave), Jeremy Kleiner (Moonlight, 12 Years a Slave)y Dooho Choi (Snowpiercer, Okja) are other producers. Executive producers include Brad Pitt, Jesse Ehrman, Peter Dodd, and Marianne Jenkins.

It is an Offscreen/Kate Street Picture Company production.

ON SINNERS

The period horror thriller marks a new collaboration between Michael B. Jordan and Coogler. In this genre film, we see Jordan in a double role playing twin brothers.

The plot of Sinners, is set in the south of the Jim Crow era in the 1930s and involves vampires. It revolves around twin brothers (Jordan) who, trying to leave their troubled lives behind, return to their hometown to start over, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them.

Coogler wrote the script, directs, and produces the project. Jordan is the star and producer. Sinners It is based on an original idea by Coogler.

Filming for Coogler took place earlier this year in New Orleans.

The cast includes Jordan, Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods), Jack O’Connell (Back to Black), Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, Dickinson), Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country), Jayme Lawson (The Woman King), Omar Benson Miller (The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey), Li Jun Li (Babylon), Lola Church (Gone Girl), and the newcomers, Yao, Miles Caton y Peter Dreimanis.

Sinners marks the fifth collaboration between Coogler and Jordan, after the actor placed himself under the filmmaker's command in Fruitvale Station (2013), Creed (2015), Black Panther (2018) y Black Pather: Wakanda Forever (2022). This is also the fifth feature film directed by Coogler.

Other producers are Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian. Executive producers are Ludwig Göransson, Rebecca Cho, and Will Greenfield.
