The ingredients needed to prepare your ground beef can vary depending on your taste in seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 500g ground meat (can be beef, pork, chicken or a mixture)

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves of minced garlic

  • 2 tablespoons of oil or olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 chopped tomato

  • 1/2 chopped bell pepper (optional)

  • 1 grated carrot (optional)

  • Chopped chives to taste

Directions

  • In a large skillet, heat the oil or olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant.
  • Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, stirring frequently, until completely browned and cooked through.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes and bell pepper (if using) and cook for a few more minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
  • If using carrots, add them at this point and cook until tender.
  • Check seasoning and adjust as needed.
  • Finish by adding the chopped chives and mix well.
  • Serve hot with white rice, mashed potatoes or however you prefer.
