This week Netflix released the trailer for its new venture in the romantic comedy genre, A Family Affaira rom-com starring Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron y Zoey Kingand produced by those responsible for Anyone but You.
The plot of the film, called A family affair In our country, it centers on Zara Ford (King), a young woman who discovers that her single mother, Brooke (Kidman) is having an affair with her self-absorbed movie star boss, Chris Cole (Efron).
“I'm starting to feel things I never thought I'd feel again, not since your father died.”, Brooke admits to her daughter in the trailer. Zara yells at her mother: “No! You didn't just say that!

- A Family Affair marks the third on-screen collaboration between Kidman and Efron, the first being The Paperboy (2012), and the next to be released in 2025, The Butler.
- It also marks a new collaboration between King and Netflix, after having starred in the trilogy The Kissing Booth; and another between Efron and Netflix, after the actor played Ted Bundy in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vileand later performed the reality show Down to Earth (2020). Kidman, for his part, appeared in the Netflix original film, The Prom (2020).
The cast is completed Liza Koshy, Sherry Cola, Olivia Mackliny Kathy Bates giving life to King's character's grandmother.
Richard LaGravenese (P.S. I Love You, Living Out Loud, Freedom Writers), directs the script of Carrie Solomon.
Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are producers, with Michelle Morrisey, Alyssa Altman and Solomon serving as executive producers.
Netflix will premiere A Family Affair worldwide on June 28.
