Netflix continues to prepare the audience for the premiere of the family drama, His Three Daughters from the screenwriter and director Azazel Jacobs.
With the premiere set on the streamer for September, the marketing campaign started this week first with the launch of the official poster, and today with the trailer that shows us the protagonists played by Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face, Russian Doll), Carrie Coon (The Gilded Age, The Leftovers), y Elizabeth Olsen (Love & Death, WandaVision).
The plot centers on three estranged sisters who converge on a New York apartment to care for their ailing father and try to repair their broken relationship with each other.
The rest of the cast is made up of Jovan Adepo (Overlord, Babylon), Jay O. Sanders (Secrets of the Dead, Blindspot), Rudy Galvan (Slice, Search Party), Jose Febus (Manifest), y Jasmine Bracey.
Netflix acquired global distribution rights for $7 million following the drama's world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in 2023.
This is believed to be one of the streamer's big bets for the 2024-25 awards season. Its premiere is set for September 6 in select theaters across the United Statesy September 20 on Netflix.
The film is produced by Jacobs, Alex Orlovsky, Duncan Montgomery, Lia Buman, Marc Marrie, Mal Ward, Matt Aselton, Tim Headington, Jack Selby and Diaz Jacobs. Executive producers are Olsen, Coon and Lyonne, along with Danielle Renfrew Behrens, Maya Rudolph, Peter Friedland, Neil Shah and Sophia Lin.
Jacobs has directed indie films such as The Lovers (2017), y French Exit (2020).
