Yesterday our August edition of New In Radio aired – with a guest who was celebrated again and again at gladfroh.
Almost exactly ten years ago we had Arpen as a guest in a big interview. At that time it was about his wonderful self-titled album on the then very esteemed Analogsoul label. After that, however, things became quiet around Arpen. We were all the more pleased in the spring when he – now under the name Arpen Daks – sent us the link to a new EP “There Never Was A Golden Age”. A few weeks ago it was released on Bandcamp – and it opens up an extremely contemporary broad spectrum of experimental, electronic-influenced pop.
You can hear why it was quiet around Arpen for so long, which musicians are currently particularly important for Arpen's network and what he thinks about current Leipzig releases in our new New In Radio issue. In our free dive we listen to new tracks from Leipzig artists together with Arpen Daks, and in the deep dive we go into the EP in more detail.
Listen? Always happy. You can find the recording in the Radio Blau media library for the next seven days. Or you can just stay here and share it via Soundcloud:
