The renewed DCU universe of James Gunn y Peter Safranprepare to be officially launched this summer, with the debut in cinemas of Supermanwritten and directed by Gunn for the study Warner Bros. and the DC Studios producer.

With María Gabriela de Faría (Animal control), Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy), Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), Frank Grillo (Tulsa King), Alan Tudyk (Santa Clarita Diet), Skyler Gisondo (Booksmart), y Wendell Pierce (Jack Ryan). Christopher Reeve's son, Will Reevehe will have a cameo in the film playing a television reporter.
Gunn directed and wrote the script, based on the characters created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1939. The producers are Gunn and Safran, with Nikolas Korda, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther as executive producers.
