Nicolas Cage stalks the new 'Longlegs' poster

The highly anticipated horror film will be released in US theaters next week Longlegsfrom the screenwriter and director Osgood Perkinsalso know as Oz Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter).

Thus, the distribution company, NEONwhich has done an extraordinary job promoting the project with one of the best film marketing campaigns of the year, continues to prepare the audience for the release of Longlegssharing a new poster tinted red like the last two posters shared prior to this one.

And this time the one who can be seen in the image is the co-star Nicolas Cagewho plays a serial killer nicknamed The Man Downstairs, who is pursued by FBI agent Lee Harker, played by Nice Monroe.

People say that Longlegs it is “in the line of classic Hollywood psychological thrillers.” Many of the critics who have already had the opportunity to see the film, do not stop comparing it with the classic The Silence of the Lambs.

Monroe and Cage have been involved in numerous audience-favorite horror film projects. Monroe has starred in It Follows –which has the sequel underway They Follow–, The Guest, Significant Otherand more recently, Watcher. Cage, for his part, is remembered for Renfield, Pig, y Mandy.

SYNOPSIS:

“FBI Agent Lee Harker (Monroe) is assigned to a serial killer case that takes unexpected turns, revealing evidence of the occult. Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer and must stop him before he strikes again.”

Alicia Witt (Urban Legend, I Care a Lot), Blair Underwood (Origin, American Crime Story), Vanessa Walsh (Murdaugh Murders: The Movie) y Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) complete the cast.

The film won the R rating by the MPA for:

“Bloody violence, disturbing images and some language.”

Perkins shot the film in Vancouver in 2023, and had a screening at the European Film Market (EFM) where it was acquired by NEON.

The producers are Cage with his production company Saturn Films, Dan Kagan, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan, and Chris Ferguson.
