Nominations for the 2026 Emmy Awards: 'The Pitt' leads with 25 nominations

The biggest morning in television happened today. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (ATAS) announced the nominations corresponding to the 78th edition of the Emmy Awards.

The medical drama The Pitt leads with 25 nominations (122 if we include the Creative Arts nominations), followed by the final season of the comedy series Hacks with 24 nominations, a record number of nominations for a single season of a comedy series. Both are original HBO Max productions.

Curious fact: The Pitt y Hackstogether, contributed about 40% of the Emmy nominations that HBO and its streaming platform, HBO Max, achieved.

Widow’s Bay Apple TV came in third place with 19 nominations, followed by To manyalso from Apple TV, with 18 nominations, and Beef de Netflix con 16.

The winners of the 2026 Emmy Awards will be revealed at the live gala on Monday, September 14. This year the awards change from their usual Sunday date due to an NFL game that will air on NBC. In Latin America they will be broadcast live through the TNT and HBO Max signal.

The ceremony, which will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, will be presented by the iconic actress Mariska Hargitaywho begins his 28th season as the protagonist of Law & Order: SVU this fall.
