The remake of the horror classic, Nosferof the screenwriter and director Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse, The Northman), and the study Focus Featuresannounced his arrival in streaming.
The film that became the second highest grossing of the study at the National Office Box (USA), It will premiere in Peacock on February 21, 2025.
That will be 58 days after its launch in cinemas (December 25, 2024), thus marking one of the longest exhibition windows of Focus features of the year 2024, only behind Drive-Away Dolls (60 days) and Housekeeping for Beginners (63 days).
Besides, The streaming premiere will arrive with an extended version with unpublished material which was not part of the original cut shown in cinemas.
The Eggers remake is nominated for four Oscar awards, including better photography, costume design, production design, and makeup and hairstyle. In the BAFTA it is nominated in the same categories and best original soundtrack. In the Critics Choice on February 7, the prize for the best photograph was held, repeating the victory at the National Board of Review. The Oscar will deliver its awards on Sunday, March 2, and the BAFTA this Sunday, February 16.
