Ingredients
1 and ½ cup wheat flour
1 teaspoon powdered yeast
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of sugar
¾ cup of warm water
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Tomato Sauce
Grated mozzarella cheese
Optional ingredients (example: ham, tomato, onion, olives, etc.)
Seasonings to taste (oregano, basil, pepper, etc.)
Directions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, salt and sugar.
- Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry mixture.
Mix well until you form a dough. - Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into two parts and form two balls.
Cover with a clean cloth and let rest for about 10 minutes. - In a nonstick skillet, heat over medium-high heat.
- Open one of the dough balls in a circular shape, the size of the skillet.
- Place the dough in the hot skillet and cook for about 2 minutes, or until the base is lightly browned.
- Turn the dough carefully using a spatula.
- Spread a layer of tomato sauce on the dough and add the grated cheese and the ingredients of your choice.
- Cover the skillet with a lid or a sheet of aluminum foil and cook for a few more minutes, until the cheese is melted and the pasta is cooked.
- Remove the pizza from the skillet and repeat the process with the second ball of dough.
- Serve the pizza from a hot skillet, adding spices to taste.
