Ingredients

  • 1 and ½ cup wheat flour

  • 1 teaspoon powdered yeast

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

  • ¾ cup of warm water

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • Tomato Sauce

  • Grated mozzarella cheese

  • Optional ingredients (example: ham, tomato, onion, olives, etc.)

  • Seasonings to taste (oregano, basil, pepper, etc.)

Directions

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, salt and sugar.
  • Add the warm water and olive oil to the dry mixture. 
    Mix well until you form a dough.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Divide the dough into two parts and form two balls. 
    Cover with a clean cloth and let rest for about 10 minutes.
  • In a nonstick skillet, heat over medium-high heat.
  • Open one of the dough balls in a circular shape, the size of the skillet.
  • Place the dough in the hot skillet and cook for about 2 minutes, or until the base is lightly browned.
  • Turn the dough carefully using a spatula.
  • Spread a layer of tomato sauce on the dough and add the grated cheese and the ingredients of your choice.
  • Cover the skillet with a lid or a sheet of aluminum foil and cook for a few more minutes, until the cheese is melted and the pasta is cooked.
  • Remove the pizza from the skillet and repeat the process with the second ball of dough.
  • Serve the pizza from a hot skillet, adding spices to taste.
