minutesTo prepare your pot meat, use the ingredients below and follow the instructions in the preparation method.
Ingredients
1 kg of meat (preferably chuck, muscle, brisket or other meat suitable for cooking)
2 medium onions, cut into rings
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 large carrots, cut into thick slices
2 ripe tomatoes, chopped
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 bay leaves
2 tablespoons of tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon of sugar (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Boiling water
Directions
- In a large pot or pressure cooker, heat the oil over medium heat.Â
Add the onions and garlic and sauté until golden. - Add meat to pan and brown on all sides.Â
Season with salt and pepper to taste. - Add the carrots, tomatoes, bay leaves, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce and sugar (optional).Â
Mix well. - Cover meat with boiling water until submerged.
- If using a pressure cooker, cover and cook over medium-high heat for about 40 minutes, or according to your pressure cooker’s instructions.Â
If using a regular pot, cover and cook over low heat for approximately 2 hours, or until the meat is tender and falls apart easily. - Check seasoning and adjust if necessary.
- If desired, remove the meat from the pan and slice.Â
Then return the meat to the pan with the sauce. - Cook for a few more minutes so that the meat absorbs the flavor of the sauce.
- Serve the hot pot meat accompanied by rice, boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes.
