Requin Chagrin «For You» – French music has always been a favorite of mine, especially when it relates to 80s wave sounds. And so it's no wonder that Requin Chagrin, the project by singer Marion Brunetto, also hits my nerve. It mixes the wave sound with typical French Yé-Yé with a modern touch. The new album “Parachute” has just been released, which also includes the great single “For You”.
Harukatomiyuki «HAPPY SICK» – exceptionally also with a reference to the 80s is the music of the Japanese duo Harukatomiyuki. It's a little more unusual for the Japanese to have a sound like that, but of course there's enough originality to make the music interesting. The two have been active for many years and also have a new album coming out – “Broken Echo Club” – which I really like.
