It's been fourteen years since we last had Freddy Krueger on the big screen in a movie Nightmare on Elm Streetthis being the 2010 remake. And although there are no plans for its return, for now, Samara Weavingone of the audience's favorite actresses in the horror genre, wants to face him when her return is finalized.

Weaving wants to add Nightmare on Elm Street o Nightmare on hell street as it is known in our market, to its great resume, which already includes projects of the genre such as Mayhem, The Babysitter and its sequel The Babysitter: Killer Queen, Ready Or Not, Scream VIand the soon to be released, Azrael.

In a recent interview with Collider on the occasion of the promotion of Azraelthe actress explained which horror franchise she would like to participate in:

“Nightmare On Elm Street. I can do it. Unless Billie Eilish gets the role now.”

The latter was an inside joke, since the makers of Azrael They wanted to include the singer-songwriter in the film.

The horror classic Wes Craven celebrates its 40th anniversary of launch this year. At the moment there are no plans for the return of Freddy Krueger. The rights to the franchise are held by the estate of Craven, who died in 2015 from brain cancer.

Craven, the master of modern horror, created a timeless icon that remains the standard bearer of horror. In the original installment, Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) has horrible nightmares. Meanwhile, her friends from school have had similar dreams and are haunted in their sleep by a ruthless demon, Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), who shares her nightmares.
