Let's not forget “us”, a bad attempt to replicate a series like “This is Us“, For which it is enough to appoint the title and we already cry.
As often happens, however, at some point it is brutally now to end it. As well as for “The paper house“, At a certain point the stories run out and, despite a return to the origins, the series no longer finds the main sense.
Sea outside 5: plot and new characters
Rosebl (Maria Esposito) returns to the IPM, asking Sofia (Lucrezia Guidone) to be put back in the cell (and already here, we would have much to talk about, but we are not focusing today on the truthfulness of the narrative, which has never been an integral part of the sea outside). In the meantime, Massimo (Carmine Rivano), wonders why Edoardo ( Matteo Paolillo) has not yet returned to IPM. Carmela and Rosa, however, are decided to keep what they know hidden, to try to do justice on their own, while new faces arrive at the IPM: Tommaso, Simone and Angelo, that we had known in the fourth season.
Sea outside 5: too present absences
The absence is the real presence of the sea outside 5. Let's admit it we had fallen in love with Edoardo and his story-line, this, which with Carmine and Rosa, kept that fourth season standing. At the sea outside 5 the freshness is missing, the novelty of the first season. Despite a return to certain issues, to the dark themes of the first seasons, to show the true cruelty of the prison, which seemed more like a recreational center in previous seasons, sea outside 5 is lost in unconvincing dynamics. If on the one hand you try to fill the void, also given by Filippo (Nicolas Maupas), with new characters, on the other you cannot develop their stories in a decent way. We slowly fall into the forced, in the repetitive, to give space to the conclusion of the stories of the main characters who still lead to an inconclusive, disappointing ending, which concludes the narrative cycles but without bringing any significant facts. The story of Pino, among all.
When we say he had to have done some time ago, it's for this reason. If the fourth season was saved for the aforementioned reasons, the repetitiveness of the dynamics brought in the fifth season marks the natural end of the sea outside. Not to mention the fact that not even a little suspense have left us, revealing everything practically at the beginning. Sometimes, you have to know how to say enough. If the main reason is only one, that is the story of Rosa, we can also conclude it a season before, without inserting illegitimate children at random. Why not, there is nothing new in this, unless the story is convincing.
Sea outside 6: will there be a sixth season?
We are very sorry to speak like this, because the sea outside was a really pleasant series, with a powerful message. Let's not forget Edoardo, on a scooter towards the IPM to look for security. On the sixth season of the sea outside we already have certainties: there will be and with her also Maria Esposito, probably willing to take on the role of Rosa Ricci again. Filming should start in the summer, seeing Ludovico Di Martino again, which this year took the place of Ivan Silvestrini. In fact, the change of direction is seen a lot, especially in the topics addressed that scans the gossip of the last seasons. Maybe this sixth season will make us recredit who knows.
