Brett Goldstein is ready for a new collaboration with Apple TV+. The actor, who was part of the cast and creative team of the acclaimed and beloved sitcom Ted Lassohas been signed for the cast of the second season of the tragicomedy Shrinkingknown as Filterless therapy in our market.

Goldstein joins in a guest star role. The role will put Goldstein in front of the camera for the series of which he is co-creator and executive producer. Details about the character he will play in Shrinking They have not been revealed at the moment (via Variety).

Filming for the second season is underway right now.

Goldstein is the co-creator of the series with Bill Lawrence (co-creator of Ted Lasso), y Jason Segelwho also stars Shrinking. The three of them are executive producers along with Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Randall Winston, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, and Annie Mebane. Warner Bros. Television is the producer.

In addition to Segel, the cast of Shrinking is headed by Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Lukita Maxwell, Michael Urie, Luke Tenniey Ted McGinley. Both Segel and Williams received Emmy nominations for their performances in the first season, released in January 2023 on the streamer.

Segel stars in the series as “grieving therapist Jimmy, who begins to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and his ethics, he finds himself making enormous and tumultuous changes in people's lives…including his own.”

Goldstein, for his part, became one of the revelations that emerged from Ted Lasso, a series where he plays one of the audience's favorites, Roy Kent, a role that made him an Emmy winner on two occasions. In addition to co-creating the series, he is one of the writers and co-executive producer.
