Ingredients
6 units of cornbread (or any other bread you prefer)
5 whole eggs
4 cups (tea) of milk (800 ml)
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla essence
50 grams of grated coconut
Raisins to taste (optional)
Directions
- In a container put the chopped breads and milk.
Mix well and let rest for 5 minutes.
Then add the slightly beaten eggs, sugar, melted butter or margarine and mix everything very well. - Add raisins to taste (optional), vanilla essence, grated coconut and mix well.
Pour the dough into a greased mold and bake in a preheated oven at 180º₢ for about 40 to 50 minutes. - Let the bread pudding cool to room temperature or transfer to the fridge for a few hours.
Unmold the pudding onto a plate or platter of your choice and the dessert is ready to serve.
