Ingredients

  • 2 stale French breads

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 4 whole eggs

  • 9 tablespoons of sugar

  • 1/2 liter of milk

  • Calda
  • 1 cup of water (tea)

  • 2 cups of sugar (tea)

Directions

  • Prepare the syrup by placing the sugar in a pudding mold and bring to a low boil.
Stir constantly until it melts, add the water little by little and keep stirring until it melts again and forms a caramelized syrup.
Spread along the sides of the mold and set aside to harden.
  • In a blender place the chopped French breads, eggs, cornstarch, sugar and milk.
Beat until the dough is smooth and uniform and pour over the caramelized syrup in the mold.
  • Preheat the oven to 180º₢ and bake the bread pudding for approximately 40 minutes, or until lightly browned on the outside and a toothpick or knife comes out clean when piercing the dough.
  • Carefully remove the bread pudding from the oven, let it cool slightly and transfer the dessert to the fridge for a few hours.
Lightly heat the bottom of the mold to melt the syrup, unmold the bread pudding onto a platter or large plate and dessert is ready.
