To make your Simple Chicken Salpicão you will need to use the ingredients below and follow the preparation instructions.
Ingredients
2 cooked and shredded chicken breasts
1 can of green corn
1 can of peas
1 grated carrot
1 green apple chopped into cubes
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup of cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Straw potatoes (optional) for topping
Directions
- Start by cooking the chicken breasts in water with a little salt until they are completely cooked.Â
Let cool and then shred the meat into small pieces. - In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, drained corn, drained peas, grated carrot, chopped green apple and raisins.
- In another bowl, prepare the sauce by mixing the mayonnaise and cream.Â
Season with salt and pepper to taste. - Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetable mixture and mix well so that all the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Refrigerate the salpicão for at least 1 hour before serving.Â
This will allow the flavors to blend and the salad to stay chilled. - When serving, you can add straw potatoes on top to add a crunchy touch, if desired.
