Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 3 eggs

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence (optional)

  • A bit of salt

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. 
    Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar and baking powder.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs lightly. 
    Add the milk, vegetable oil and vanilla essence. 
    Mix well.
  • Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until you obtain a homogeneous dough. 
    Do not stir too much, just enough to incorporate the ingredients.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Once cooled, you can decorate the cake with powdered sugar, chocolate frosting, or icing if desired.
