'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' surpasses $800 million in record time at the domestic box office

Spider-Man: Brand New Day from Sony Pictures continues to break records during its run in theaters. The most recent achievement that is added to a great list is having surpassed $800 million at the domestic box office (United States/Canada) in record time.

The film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Hollandachieve this feat in a record time of 19 daysthus surpassing the previous record holder, Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), which he achieved in 23 days (via Deadline).
