With just 3 ingredients you will prepare a sponge cake with irresistible texture and flavor!

Ingredients

  • 5 eggs

  • 2 cups corn starch (cornstarch)

  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar

Directions

  • In a mixer, add the eggs and beat until doubled in size and foamy. 
    Gradually add the sugar with the mixer running and beat some more.
  • Turn off the mixer and add the cornstarch. 
    Gently stir with a whisk from top to bottom until the dough is smooth and homogeneous.
  • Pour the dough into a greased shape with butter or margarine and flour. 
    Preheat the oven to 180º₢ and bake the dough for approximately 45 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the sponge cake from the oven, wait to cool to room temperature and the recipe is ready.sponge cake
