Supercar «Lucky» – I’m continuing my Japan trip this year unabated, and I came across this absolute pearl of indie pop music. The band existed from 1995-2005 and on their first album (which contains 19 tracks, some of which are reminiscent of early Ride – also highly recommended) in 1997 they had this incredibly great, beautiful and perfectly placed song between Sarah Records and Slowdive – you can do better hardly match the British sound of the late 80’s and early 90’s. I am very excited!
Mr.Blue «Hourglass» – I got to know Supercar through the cover version of this new Japanese duo, which also plays a wonderful version of guitar pop with their own songs. The first single is great, the EP is also very worth listening to.
