The live action movie Haunted Mansion Disney released its official teaser trailer this dayFacing the theatrical release set for July 28, 2023 Worldwide.
The preview takes us to take a look at the characters and the most emblematic corners of the iconic attraction located in New Orleans Square at Disney in Anaheim, California. You can find the teaser at the end of the note.
The live action adaptation is directed by justin simon (Dear White People, Bad Hair), with hyphen Katie Dippold (Ghostbusters 2016).
The star-studded cast consists of LaKeith Stanfield (Get Out), Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), Owen Wilson (The Wedding Crashers), Rosario Dawson (Clerks III, Sin City), Danny DeVito (Jumanji: The Next Level), Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween, Everything Everywhere All at Once), Jared Leto (Morbius), Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), Dan Levi (Schitt’s Creek), y Hasan Minhaj (The Morning Show).

In this mysterious adventure, a doctor (Dawson) and her 9-year-old son (Chase Dillon), looking to start a new life, move into an oddly affordable mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that the place is much more than what they expected. Desperate for help, they contact a priest (Wilson), who, in turn, enlists the help of a widowed scientist turned failed paranormal expert (Stanfield), a French Quarter psychic (Haddish), and a cantankerous historian ( DeVito).”
The attraction launched in 1969 and is still open today at Disney parks. Haunted Mansion “takes theme park guests into a terrifying and spooky mansion that has a wide range of supernatural scares. It also features a wide cast of characters.” The most popular characters include Hatbox Ghost, Madame Leota, The Phantom, and Hitchhiking Ghosts.
The first adaptation to the big screen was released in 2003, directed by Rob Minkoff, and with Eddie Murphy in the leading role. In recent times, Guillermo del Toro was briefly on board for a new adaptation that never came to fruition.
