Ingredients

  • Dough
  • 400 grams of wheat flour

  • 150 ml of warm milk

  • 80 grams of sugar

  • 40 grams of softened butter

  • 10 grams of organic yeast

  • 1 egg

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • Zest of 1 orange

  • Fennel to taste

  • Vanilla essence to taste

  • Grated coconut to taste

  • Condensed milk to taste

Directions

  • In a bowl add the warm milk, sugar, yeast, mix well and let it rest for 10 minutes. 
    Add the orange zest, vanilla, pinch of salt, fennel, egg, melted butter and mix more.
  • Add the wheat flour gradually, mix and knead for 10 minutes. 
    Cover with a clean cloth and wait for the dough to rise until it has at least doubled in size. 
    Divide the dough into equal parts, roll each piece into a braid and then close them, forming the donuts.
  • Arrange the threads side by side in a greased and floured shape, respecting the spacing between them, and let rise for another 30 minutes. 
    Then brush an egg on top.
  • Bake the donuts in a preheated oven at 180º₢ for about 25 minutes, or until the desired doneness. 
    Finish by passing over condensed milk to taste, sprinkle grated coconut to taste the sweet doughnut recipe is ready.
