The Prestige (2006), titled The big trick in our region, it was shot by Wally Pfister in anamorphic 35mm. For the theatrical re-release, 70mm enlargements were made from Pfister's original material.

Based on the novel by Christopher Priest, the plot follows two rival magicians in Victorian London—a showman played by Hugh Jackman and a purist embodied by Christian Bale—, whose friendship turns into a lifelong war after a stunt goes horribly wrong. The story includes sabotage, stolen secrets and the appearance of David Bowie in the role of Nikola Tesla.

The cast also includes Scarlett Johansson, Michael Caine, Piper Perabo, Rebecca Hall y Andy Serkis.

It is one of the most underrated works in Nolan's filmography, and one that, over time, solidifies its status more and more. Upon its release, it grossed a global box office of $109 million, against a budget of $40 million. Its theatrical debut, by the way, took place between the releases of Batman Begins y The Dark Knight.

The timing chosen for the re-release makes sense, since The Odyssey Nolan's film became the highest-grossing IMAX release in history over the summer, grossing more than $289 million on IMAX screens alone. The IMAX revival of Interstellarby Nolan, achieved excellent results in 2024.
