Vertical Entertainment revealed a new official trailer of the survival thriller Edenthe most recent film project of the Oscar winner, Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind).
Con premiere date in cinemas planned for August 22, 2025the study is given the task of reactivating the marketing campaign with a new advance, available at the end of the note.
The thriller, starring Jude Law (Skeleton Crew), Ana de Armas (Ballerina), Vanessa Kirby (The Fantastic Four: First Steps), Daniel Brühl (The Alienist), y Sydney Sweeney (Immaculate), unravels the shocking real history of a group of disappointed outsiders who abandon civilization and establish themselves on a remote and uninhabited island of galapagos at the beginning of the 20th century with the hope of living a peaceful and utopian life. However, while the initial couple who undertakes this trip finds satisfaction, their new life is interrupted by the arrival of new characters with their own ambitions, and everything quickly becomes chaos.
Previously it was reported that Eden It is based on an unsolved mystery that was developed on a remote island of the Galapagos and? shows how far humans are able to arrive in search of happiness. While other reports say that the script is based on “two different stories of the same real story.”
Howard directs the script written by Noah Pink (Tetris). The filmmaker had been wanting to take the story to the screen for 15 years, since he visited the place where the real events occurred.
The feature film celebrated its World Cup premiere at the Toronto Film Festival of 2024. He was previously titled Origin of the Species. In April 2025 he premiered in Cinemas in Germany, and it is not until now that he found distribution on this side of the world with the acquisition of vertical.
The new teaser anticipates the conflict that arises when Dr. Friedrich Ritter (Law) involuntarily inspires others to join him and his wife Dora (Kirby) on the island, since too many people are contradictory. We also see fragments of the decline of Ana de Armas, the Baroness Eloise Bosquet of Wagner Wehrhorn, even far from all the luxuries to which he is clearly accustomed. Producers say that Eden “Explore the human condition in unexpected, absurd, fun, sexy ways, but above all exciting and deeply full of suspense.”
The filming was made in Queensland, Australia, with a small unit in Galapagos.
