Good news to all those who like to watch movies at home, we bring you great news, and that is that the well-received biopic Air from the director Ben Affleckand studios Amazon Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures, has announced its availability on Prime Video starting May 12, 2023 in all countries where the streamer is operating.
Its arrival on streaming platforms marks five weeks after its theatrical release on April 5, where it made history as the first theatrical release from Amazon Studios to be screened on more than 3,500 theater screens in the United States.
The plot follows the story of shoe salesman Sonny Vaccaro (Matt Damon) y how he led Nike in its search for the greatest athlete in basketball history: Michael Jordan. Affleck plays Phil Knight, co-founder of Nike.
Damon Vaccaro works as a shoe salesman at Nike when he had the bright idea of signing Jordan to port the brand in the basketball legend’s rookie years. Later, Jordan would become his own brand, and Vaccaro a sports marketing executive.
In addition to Affleck and Damon, the ranks of the spectacular cast include Viola Davis Giving life to Deloris Jordan, mother of Michael, Jason Bateman as a marketing executive for Nike, Chris Messina como representante de MJ, Marlon Wayans, Chris Tucker, Matthew Maher, Tom Papa, Julius Tennon, Joel Gretsch, Gustaf Skarsgard, Barbara Sukowa, Jessica Green y Dan Bucatinsky.
The script was written by Alex Converywho makes his debut as a screenwriter with this project.
