Universal Pictures and Working Title have launched a new installment of the franchise Bridget Jones.
The fourth installment, titled Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boywill feature the return of the protagonist, the two-time Oscar winner, Renee Zellweger, reprising one of his most beloved roles. They will also be back Hugh Grant y Emma Thompsonalong with the new additions to the franchise, Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave, Love, Actually) y Leo Woodall (The White Lotus, One Day).
The film, adapted from Helen Fielding's bestseller, will be directed by Michael Morris (Better Call Saul, To Leslie). Universal Pictures has set its release in theaters around the world for February 14, 2025.. In the United States, it will also have a simultaneous premiere on Peacock (via Variety).
The rom-com franchise, made up of Bridget Jone’s Diary (2001), Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), y Bridget Jone’s Baby (2016), accumulates more than $760 million dollars in the global box office.

Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, and Jo Wallett will produce for Working Title Films, and Amelia Granger and Sarah-Jane Wright will executive produce. Helen Fielding will be another executive producer.
