Screen Gems from Sony Pictures and Stage 6 Films recently unveiled the Final trailer for the fifth installment of the saga Insidioustitled Insidious: The Red Doorfacing the return of the fans “Al Más Allá” this summer.
The final chapter of the terrifying journey of the Lambert family, has set its theatrical release for July 7, 2023. This feature film will put an end to the popular horror franchise that was launched in 2010 and that consists of five films in its main saga. And although it will mark the departure of the Lamberts, it will not be the end of the franchise, since the studio already has the spinoff underway. Thread: An Insidious Tale (more information here).
Returning to the trailer, we see the return of Patrick Wilson como Josh Lambert, Rose Byrne as Renai Lambert and Ty Simpkinslike Dalton Lambert. is back too Lin Shaye, who has appeared in all installments characterizing the medium Elise Rainier. And since she passed away in the first movie, she’s seen via video.
And not only they are back. The Visitor (Lipstick Face Demon), the soul-stealing demon who chased little Dalton in the original film, also makes an appearance in the preview at the bottom of the note.
In addition to starring in the film, Wilson is directing the feature with which he is making his directorial debut.

Insidious: The Red Door follows the Lambert family ten years after the last film, while Dalton – the son of Josh and Renai Lambert – begins his career in college. This means that is a direct sequel to Chapter 2.
“Set ten years after the end of Insidious 2, Josh Lambert (Wilson) heads east to drop his son Dalton (Simpkins) off at an idyllic, ivy-covered college. However, Dalton’s college dream turns into a nightmare when repressed demons from his past suddenly return to haunt them both.
The sequel has a script by Scott Teems (Halloween Kills, Rectify, The Quarry) from the history of Leigh Whanellco-creator of the franchise along with James Wan. Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions is the producer along with Wan, Whannell, and Ore Game.
the plot of Insidious revolves around supernatural entities that torment the living, in the case of the first two films, scripted by Whannell and directed by Wan, the tormented beings are the Lambert family. The entities come from The Further, a dangerous world inhabited by these spirits, which connects to our world through space and time. The Further has many “red doors” through which demonic entities arrive in our dimension.
The franchise has amassed over $500 million in the global box office. the fourth installment, Insidious: The Last Key it is currently the highest grossing of all with a total of $167 million dollars.
Sony Pictures will release The Night of the Demon: The Red Door in theaters on July 7, 2023.
