The Penguin and Sofia Falcone in new poster for 'The Penguin'

With three episodes released and great reception from critics and audiences, HBO continue promoting The Penguinseries spinoff de The Batmancentered on Oz Cobblepot/Penguin, with the return of Colin Farrell in a leading role.

The latest is a new official poster focusing on Oz and Sofia Falcone, daughter of Carmine Falcone, played in the series by Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs, Made For Love).

We remind you that the series is broadcast both online on HBO and on MAXwith new episodes every week. The premiere is every Sunday sharp at 7pm central Mexico time. There are 8 episodes in total.

In the events of the film, The Penguin (Farrell) served as lieutenant of crime boss Carmine Falcone (John Turturro in The Batman, Mark Strong in the series), who meets a premature end.

In the series from the showrunner and main writer, Lauren LeFranc, Penguin is stepping up to lead crime in Gotham City.

The plot is set a week after the film's climax. The Batman. The story explores Oswald Cobblepot's place in the criminal underworld as Batman becomes a bigger threat to Gotham City's villains.

The series described as “Batman's epic crime saga,” will expand and develop Gotham's vision of Gotham City. Matt Reeves, while also seeking to leave its mark on the crime genre.

In addition to Farrell, Milioti and Strong, the cast includes Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy, Emily the Criminal), Carmen Ejogo (The Crowded Room, Your Honor), Michael Kelly (Jack Ryan, House of Cards), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Renfield), Deirdre O’Connell (Daredevil, The Affair), Rhenzy Feliz, Clancy Brown (Dexter), y Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs Maisel).

Craig Zobel (The Hunt) directed the first two episodes.

Reeves and his producing partner's DC expansion plans Dylan Clarkincludes the development of a universe of films and series derived from The Batmanstarting with the series of The penguin.

Reeves is the executive producernext to Farrell, LeFranc, Dylan Clark, Zobel, and Bill Carraro. Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios are the production companies.
