This morning, A24 revealed the first official trailer of Y2K, A sci-fi horror comedy set during the Millennium Panic in 1999.

The trailer, set to the late-'90s anthem “Tubthumping” by British rock band Chumbawamba, plays with the concept of everything the turn of the millennium was said to mean, and how it would impact technology on New Year's Eve in 1999 – on a much more terrifying level than we thought, of course, from VHS tapes and killer Tamagotchis to planes crashing and falling out of the sky. The trailer thought of everything.

You can find the fun preview at the end of this article.
