TransCentury Update Festival 2024 – 1st Call – frohfroh – electronic music from leipzig

Even though it's full of summer feeling right now, there are definitely reasons to look forward to autumn. Because the TransCentury Update Festival will take place again. And the first names of the line-up have been confirmed.

The TransCentury Update has been running since 2016, a festival in various clubs and locations in the south of Leipzig that, with ambitious and sensitively curated booking, always enables new musical discoveries and familiar reunions. We are delighted that we have been able to accompany this special festival as a media partner for many years – even if the music is not 100 percent strictly electronic. This year is no different.

From the 14 to 17 November 2024 It is planned, a long weekend. This year, the UT Connewitz and Conne Island as well as Cammerspiele, Ilses Erika and Schnellbuffet Süd will be playing. Werk 2 will also be playing for the first time. And all of this with a good approach:

“It’s about overcoming genre boundaries, penetrating unknown musical spheres, allowing yourself to be surprised and giving the unknown a chance. In our view, culture gains value when it is taken out of niches and celebrated by as diverse an audience as possible.”

The first acts of this year's line-up have now been confirmed – and with them an exciting mix of dark, spherical and gently shimmering electro-pop, Yemeni avant-rock and German indie:
