With this premise that hides something scary under it, Netflix presents the trailer of the dark youth drama Waywarda new limited series of streamer, starring Collette tones (Hereditary) y There is martin (Feel Good), which makes the self -reflection look terrifying.
Collette looks chilling in the first complete trailer of the miniseries created and starring Martin himself, and that in our region is titled Uncontrollable.
Collette plays Evelyn Wade, the leader of the Tall Pines Academy, a school supposedly for teenagers with problems that, in a promotional video, promises “Solve the problem of adolescence”. Under imposing glasses, Evelyn tells a new student who is being held to force: “I'm looking forward to you know your new self.”
While another character says about school: “Children enter, and something else comes out.”
For his part, Martin plays Alex Dempsey, a policeman who moves to the seemingly perfect people of Tall Pins. However, not everything is what it seems. Alex connects with two students from the Academy, Abbie (Sydney Topliffe) and Leila (Alyvia Alyn Lind). They are desperate to escape and could be the key to unraveling a series of mysterious events in the town, including the disappearance of numerous young people, which Alex begins to suspect that he is related to school and Evelyn.
The rest of the cast includes Sarah Gadon (Ferrari) as Alex's pregnant wife and also former School of Evelyn, Sydney Toplife (Davey & Jonesie’s Locker), Alyvia alyn lind (serie Chucky), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Brandon's Jay McLaren (The Cleaning Lady), Joshua Close (Killers of the Flower Moon), Patrick Gallagher (Big Sky), Tricia Black y John Daniel.
The streamer promotes the series as “an exciting limited series and that breaks with the genre about the eternal struggle between one generation and the next, which happens when friendship and loyalty are put to the fullest to the maximum and how the buried truths always find a way to go to the surface.”
Wayward It is part of the official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival, where it will celebrate its World Cup. Martin will attend the event.
