The score read 75 to 74 for Pinheiros, with nine seconds remaining, when Bennett made the basket that turned the game around. There was still time for the team's number 63 to convert two more free throws. Teammate and former Pinheiros, Lucas Dias was the scorer of the duel, with 26 points, and decisive for the victory.

Franca, which opened up a 21-point lead, winning the first two quarters (24/21 and 21/7), lost the last two (11/17 and 22/30), taking the turn with 1m28s to go.

Georginho celebrates Franca's serenity

– We had a lot of composure, we created a lot of good shots. But again, this happened other times in the season, we made mistakes in the second half. Pinheiros is not in the final by chance. We can't let this happen. In the end we managed to have serenity. We have to be more focused so this doesn't happen – said Georginho, in an interview with ESPN.
