Xmal Deutschland-Early Singles 1981-1982 (2024)-Little Lost classics

As with the sisters of mercy, my favorite records of Xmal Deutschland are from the first album full backwards.

In 2024, on the same March 8 in which Anja Huwe released her first solo album, CodesSacred Bones put on the market a custom -made compilation for me – and everyone who expected a sick of the first recordings of then young German girls.

Early singles 1981-1982 It encapsulates the little discs that Anja and Cia. (At the time the band was a quintet formed by women only) released by the Zickzack seal, the second of them being the classic “Succubus”.

In the 08 songs that make up the small but valuable package there is not yet the hand and money of the 4ad involved, so it is the raw Xmal, with a newly placed vocalist and Manuela Rickers' guitar than ever.

For those who are unaware, time to contact some hidden pearls from the Goth/Post-Punk Universe (the live version of “Allein” is anything). For those who already know, time to remember.
