Shark attack movies seem to be a good idea for the film industry, which is why the franchise 47 Meters Downhas just received the green light for a third installment that will have the official title, 47 Meters Down: The Wreck.
The creator of the saga, Johannes Robertsand the screenwriter Ernest Riera, who wrote the previous two installments, have co-written the third film. Roberts will not resume his duties as director (after having directed the original installment and the sequel 47 Meters Down: Uncaged), leaving the chair vacant for the veteran horror film director, Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine), according to reports from Deadline.
The project will be brought to the Cannes market this May by FilmNation.
