This Friday, Walt Disney Studios pampered comedy fans Freaky Friday (2003) sharing the first official look at Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in the sequel Freakier Friday.
In the image available at the end of this note, the co-stars recreate the iconic screaming pose from the first film, characterized as mother and daughter, Anna and Tess Coleman, who swap bodies overnight.
Additionally, the studio revealed the release date of the sequel: August 8, 2025 only in theaters.
Filming for the sequel began last June and concluded in August.
The plot of Freakier Friday has not been shared at the moment. Nisha Ganatra (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Dollface, Late Night) directs the script of Jordan Weiss (Dollface).
In addition to Curtis and Lohan, other cast members from the 2003 film reprising their roles include Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowskyy Rosalind Chao.
The new additions are Julia Butters (The Fabelmans, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood), Manny Jacinto (Top Gun: Maverick, The Good Place), Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (Never Have I Ever), y Sophia Hammons (The Absence of Eden, The Social Dilemma). Jacinto plays Lohan's character's husband.
