One of the blockbusters of the summer, Deadpool & Wolverinedebuted a few hours ago on Disney Plus all over the world. So if for some reason you missed the movie in theaters, it is now available on the streamer.
Disney+ celebrated the arrival of the film by sharing a new poster focused on Ryan Reynolds y Hugh Jackman like Deadpool and Wolverine.
The poster is available at the end of this note.
Meanwhile we tell you that the third installment of Deadpooldirected by Shawn Levymarked the official arrival of Deadpool and Wolverine to Marvel Studios' MCU.
It is also the first installment of the saga to be released by the Walt Disney Company, after Disney's massive acquisition of Fox in 2019. This did not alter the Rated R characteristic of the franchise.
During its run in theaters, it became only the second Rated R film to surpass one billion in the global box office, behind Joker (2019), and the second Disney film to surpass one billion in the global box office in 2024, behind Inside Out 2.
The first installment followed the antihero seeking revenge against Ajax (Ed Skrein), the man who turned him into a mutant and left him disfigured. The second film focused on Deadpool organizing the X-Force team to fight time-traveling soldier Cable (Josh Brolin). Both films broke records with their respective releases in 2016 and 2018, with opening box office receipts of $132.4 million and $186 million, respectively, something historic for an R-rated film.
In Deadpool & WolverineDeadpool asks for Wolverine's help to save his world. Reluctantly, the mutants must join forces.
“When Wade is plucked from his universe by the Time Variance Authority, the watchdogs of the multiverse introduced in Loki, he embarks on a mission across multiple alternate dimensions that unite him with a version of Jackman's Wolverine from a parallel reality.”
The sequel features the returns of Morena Baccarin (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), Rob Delaney (Deadpool 2), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), Karan Soni (Deadpool, Deadpool 2), the return of Jennifer Garner like Elektra, a character she played in Daredevil (2003) and last time in the 2005 solo spinoff, Patrick Stewart (X-Men), the surprise cameo of Dafne Keenreprising her role as Laura/X-23 from Logan (2017), and many other cameos.
New additions include Matthew Macfadyen (Succession), Emma Corrin (The Crown).
