The popular series Wednesday of Tim Burton y Netflix just wrapped up filming for the second season, and celebrated by sharing with the audience the first look at the return of Jenna Ortega like Wednesday Addams (or Merlina, as she is known in our market).

Alfred Gough y Miles Millar (Smallville) showrunners, writers, creators and executive producers of Wednesdaythey shared with Netflix's Tudum that the second season “will further explore Addams Family lore,” in addition to being “excited to introduce an eclectic lineup of incredible new characters.”
New cast members include Lady Gaga (A Star is Born), Thank you Newton (Westworld), Frances O’Connor (The Missing), Haley Joel Osment (The Kominsky Method), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries), Joonas Suotamo (saga Star Wars), Steve Buscemi (Fargo), Billie Piper (Scoop), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill), Owen Painter (Tiny Beautiful Things), y Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime), Joanna Lumley (Fool Me Once) giving life to Grandmama Addams, and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future) as a guest star. Lloyd was in charge of giving life to Uncle Lucas in the film franchise of The Addams Family.
The series filmed its first season in Romania. The second season moved production to County Wicklow in Ireland.
Burton is the executive producer and director of several episodes of both seasons. Steve Stark and Andrew Mittman are other executive producers along with Kevin Miserocchi, Charles Addams, Kayla Alpert, Jonathan Glickman, Gail Berman, Tommy Harper and Kevin Lafferty. Jenna Ortega will get an executive producer credit for the second season. MGM Television is the studio behind the series, along with Tim Burton Productions, and Toluca Pictures.
The title of the first episode of season 2 is “Here We Woe Again”was written by Millar and Gough, and is directed by Burton.
The second season will premiere on the streamer in 2025.
