The fifth installment Avengers will feature the return of a familiar face.
According to reports from TheWrap, Chris Evans will be making his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Avengers: Doomsdayafter saying goodbye to MCU as Steve Rogers/Captain America in Avengers: Endgame (2019). From that moment on, the role as Captain America was assumed by Anthony Mackie.
Evans recently had a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverinenot as Steve Rogers, but as Johnny Storm from Fantastic Four.
The actor joins the return of another member of the original cast of Avengersthat of Robert Downey Jr.who will be playing the Doctor Doom in the film that will be directed by the Russo Brothers.
The media explains the signing of Evans:
“Evans will be involved in some capacity, but the exact extent and nature of his role is unknown.”
Anthony and Joe Russo will direct the fifth and sixth installments of the Avengers, Avengers: Doomsday y Avengers: Secret Warscon Stephen McFeely (Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: The Winter Soldier) as the screenwriter.
The Russos directed Evans in the two best-received Captain America solo installments: Winter Soldier y Civil War.

The filming of Avengers: Doomsday It is planned to start in spring 2025.
Marvel Studios will release the long-awaited sequel May 1, 2026 in cinemas around the world.
