Warner Bros. The marketing campaign for the period horror thriller is active Sinnerswhich marks a new collaboration between the protagonist Michael B. Jordan and the filmmaker Ryan Coogler.
Jordan stars Sinners in a double role playing twin brothers.
The plot of Sinners, is set in the south of the Jim Crow era in the 1930s and involves vampires. It revolves around twin brothers (Jordan) who, trying to leave their troubled lives behind, return to their hometown to start over, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them.
Coogler wrote the script, directs, and produces the project. Jordan is the star and producer. Sinners It is based on an original idea by Coogler.
The latest in WB's marketing campaign is an official image focused on Jordan shared by USA Today and available at the end of the note.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
“From Ryan Coogler—director of “Black Panther” and “Creed”—and starring Michael B. Jordan, A new vision of fear arrives: “Sinners”.
“Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, the twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start over, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them.”
The cast includes Jordan, Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods), Jack O’Connell (Back to Black), Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit, Dickinson), Wunmi Mosaku (Lovecraft Country), Jayme Lawson (The Woman King), Omar Benson Miller (The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey), Li Jun Li (Babylon), Lola Church (Gone Girl), and the newcomers, Yao, Miles Caton y Peter Dreimanis.
In recent weeks, the studio revealed that it had swapped theatrical release dates Sinners y Mickey 17 of Bong Joon Ho. Now Mickey 17 will be released on March 7, 2025, and Sinners April 18, 2025.
Sinners marks the fifth collaboration between Coogler and Jordan, after the actor placed himself under the filmmaker's command in Fruitvale Station (2013), Creed (2015), Black Panther (2018) y Black Pather: Wakanda Forever (2022). This is also the fifth feature film directed by Coogler.
Other producers are Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian. Executive producers are Ludwig Göransson, Rebecca Cho, and Will Greenfield.
Filming for Coogler took place in 2024 in New Orleans.
